Following our arrival at Espiritu Santo into the port of Luganville we left the ship and spent a few days on Santo as well as taking a flight back to Efate and Port Vila. During that time we saw something of the culture and life of Luganville as well as the magnificent Millennium Cave.

Amazing islands, fantastic hikes, volcanic ash plains, native dancing, fresh coconuts, organic pork, fancy dress parties. Pretty much everything you want from a sail around some of the most beautiful parts of the world. Ever.

Just a few photos taken while on the blue water crossing between Fiji and Vanuatu. 470 nautical miles of nothing but beautiful days, windy, raining nights and some of the most exciting sailing I've ever done. Also, sail handling at the top of a mast in a Force 8 storm.

My arrival in Fiji on Levu and a little time in Lautoka before departing on the Søren larsen for various islands. A completely different cultural experience, the drinking of kava, swimming, sail handling, a very definite "learning the ropes" experience and always sun, sea and the wind.
